Kevin Moyer
Owner
Kevin grew up in New Hampshire and Massachusetts and has had a lifelong passion for timber framing. Before purchasing Vermont Frames and Foam Laminates of Vermont, he served six years in the Marines with tours in Afghanistan and the Western Pacific. “I’m humbled and proud every day to be part of this incredible team of craftsmen. The dedication and skill they bring to every project is truly inspiring.” Kevin spends his spare time sailing.

Jim Giroux
Timber Framer
Jim started with Vermont Frames in 1982 while finishing his Architectural Engineering Technology degree from the University of Vermont. As a frame cutter and traveling to erect frames nationwide for many years, Jim had become an expert in designing and constructing timber frame structures. He became a project manager in 1992, overseeing all timber frame projects from start to finish. Jim enjoys discussing every aspect with clients about their projects on the phone or in person. He enjoys maple sugaring, vacationing in tree stands, and coaching his kids’ sports teams when he’s not designing timber frames.

Josh Rawlings
Sales & Operations Manager: Vermont Frames
Wanting to move to Vermont for the beautiful mountains and lakes, Josh came to Vermont Frames in the fall of 2022 with over 15 years of timber framing experience running his own business. “I really enjoy the variety of customers I get to talk to, the many different dreams I get to help them all bring to life, and the exposure to so many different projects.” Snowboarding and mountain biking, in his own words: “Keep me mostly sane.”

Keegan Mitchell
Sales & Operations Manager: Foam Laminates
After attending college in New Hampshire for Architecture and Sustainable Product Design, Keegan worked in the residential construction field, manufacturing and installing prefabricated homes throughout the northeast. He joined Vermont Frames & Foam Laminates of Vermont in early 2019. Outside work, you will find Keegan working on endless house projects, relaxing on the lake during the summertime, and spending time with family and friends.

Rye Matthews
Senior Designer
After attending the University of Vermont for eco-design and green building, Rye worked in the residential construction field for eight years. He joined Vermont Frames in early 2020; and spends his time drafting, designing, and talking with clients. Rye loves spending his time here at Vermont Frames and spends the remaining time free skiing or with his family.

Lindsay Hildebrand
Bookkeeper and Office Manager
Like most Vermont Frames employees, Lindsay was born and raised in Vermont. After 15 years working at a financial firm out of Boston, she’s back home and “enjoying learning about the timber framing and panel industry.” When not working on bookkeeping at the office, she loves spending time with her two young kids, husband, and family that live close by.

Ted Clark
Draftsman
Ted grew up on an island in Northern Vermont, specifically North Hero. He graduated from Champlain College with a degree in graphic design. Ted possesses extensive building experience in various areas, such as wooden boats, custom homes, cabinets, retail displays, and furniture. His dedication to designing and constructing is a constant pursuit at Vermont Frames. Outside work, he explores the scenic Green Mountains of Vermont by bike or ski.

Ted Say
Draftsman
Ted comes to Vermont Frames with a degree in Architecture and Drafting and over 18 years of building industry experience. He’s most excited to “learn about the traditional methods, joinery, tools, and assembly while blending it in the modern age.” When not at Vermont Frames, Ted follows his interests in hiking, biking, golf, and hockey.

David Charlton
Apprentice Draftsman
David grew up in southern Vermont and recently graduated from Norwich University with a degree in Architecture. He comes to Vermont Frames with a few summers’ worth of experience with timber framing with his father. After experiencing the installation of a few timber frames, he’s “excited to learn from the team about the beginning stages of drafting and designing one.” When not working, David is either sleeping, reading, playing competitive video games, or forgetting something important.

Mark Knowles
Timber Shop Foreman
Mark joined Vermont Frames as a timber framer in 1999 after seeing an ad in the paper during a visit to Vermont. Previously he did timber framing in Pennsylvania, where he grew up. He enjoys living in rural Vermont and working close to home. “What I really enjoy are the different challenges we face with each new frame. Getting to use my mind every day to work through the intricacies of the complex joinery we cut is really fun.” Mark can be found mountain biking or skiing when outside the wood shop.

Rich Self
Master Timber Framer
Rich has been a timber framer since 1991 and with Vermont Frames since 1993. Previously he built log homes in Idaho for nine years. He lives in a timber frame and SIPs home that he made himself. Formerly our longtime Shop Foreman, Rich now enjoys the freedom and challenges associated with tackling our most intricate framing tasks.

Jason (Jake) Cota
Timber Framer
Jake worked at Vermont Frames from 1988 to 1994. He took a leave to try other construction methods but returned in 2011. He has lived in his grandparents’ hand-hewn timber frame home since 1850. His grandparents used to farm on the same land our shop is located.

Roger Brace
Timber Framer
Roger, born and raised in Vermont, had been with Vermont Frames since 1994. He not only hand cuts the timbers, but he also travels to job sites to erect the frame. Roger built his timber frame and SIPs home. He enjoys meeting and speaking with our clients on the job site. When off the job site Rogers’s interests range from painting cars and motorbiking to golfing.

Roland (Ronnie) Stetson
Timber Framer
Born and raised in Vermont, Roland has been with Vermont Frames since 2000. He enjoys the structures he builds and the challenges of each design. “The best part is making customers’ dreams come true.” When outside Vermont Frames, Ronnie makes maple syrup and frequently ATVs.

Sarah Grennon
Timber Framer
Born and raised in Vermont, Sarah started work at Vermont Frames in 2021. Deciding on a career change and loving to work with her hands, she chose to try carpentry and has excelled ever since. She enjoys the different frames they build and learning something new every day. “There is always something cool to work on.”

Ron Bovat
Timber Framer
Outdoorsman Ron came to Vermont Frames because of his friendship with the prior owner and the proximity to his home. His favorite part of the Timber Framing Process is seeing the hard-earned final product. He brings a range of previous experience from carpentry to mechanical expertise. He tries to stay outdoors as much as possible, loving hunting and snowboarding.

Cam Sgambati
Apprentice Timber Framer
Joined in 2023, Cam has come to Vermont Frames with experience in wooden frame tent carpentry and woodshop classes. He is here because he was looking for a fun summer job and thought Vermont Frames was just that. Cam enjoys the company and peers but mostly enjoys operating heavy machinery. When he’s not at Vermont Frames, he practices his hobbies, skiing, and furniture building.

Josh Rochon
Panel Shop Foreman
Born and raised locally, Josh came to Foam Laminates of Vermont in 2011, having previously worked installing panels on job sites. “I like staying busy and seeing the projects from start to finish and the comradery with the rest of the panel shop.” Josh enjoys spending his time Hunting, Fishing, and with his family.

Craig Sheppard
Panel Shop Foreman
Born and raised right down the road, Craig joined our team in 2011. After working various jobs installing standing seam and other types of roofs, he decided to try his hand at structural insulated panels. “I enjoy seeing the puzzles come together from blueprint to panel to install.” After work, Craig hunts and fishes.

Kenny Marcelle
Panel Shop Technician
Kenny was born in Maine but raised in Vermont and started at Foam Laminates of Vermont in 2021. Coming from the construction industry and working on stick framing, foam paneling was something new and different to him. What he likes most about working here are his coworkers and seeing a whole project come together. When given the opportunity, Kenny spends his time hunting.

Corey Oliver
Panel Shop Technician
A Vermont native, Corey started in early 2023 at Foam Laminates of Vermont. Looking for a job closer to home, he saw the sign-out front and decided to stop in. The most enjoyable part about working at Foam Laminates of Vermont is seeing a house come out of boards and foam. He also enjoys working with his peers. Outside of work, Corey enjoys biking with his son.

Adrien (Adie) Thibault
Field Team Foreman
Born and raised in Vermont, Adie began timber framing in 1988. In addition to being a highly skilled craftsman, Adie can perform many construction tasks with accuracy and speed. Adie is typically the first to arrive at work and the last to leave and seems never to stop working. If he isn’t on the top of your frame setting rafters 30 feet in the air, Adie can be found in the top of a tree stand.

Brian (Newt) Zeno
Certified Crane Operator
Born and raised just down the road from our shop, Brian has been with Vermont Frames since 1995. As the crane operator, he has raised over 1000 timber frames in varying weather and job site conditions, up and down the Eastern Seacoast. Brian is skilled, gentle, and precise when he operates the crane.

Brendan Fossi
Timber Framer
Brendan Fossi had just moved to Vermont in 2020 when he saw the Vermont Frames sign and decided to apply. Before his move, he worked for his father, a general contractor. His favorite part since has been the efficiency of the installation team and how fast himself and his peers can construct such impressive frames. He grows food for and with his family and skateboards in his off time.

Dave Cusson
Timber Framer
Dave found Vermont Frames while looking for work in residential construction. After working in metal construction and welding, he brings his experience to constructing our timber frames. He appreciates the opportunity to work outdoors with his peers here at Vermont Frames.

James Matthew Mclaughlin
Timber Framer
Sir James Matthew Bartholomew McLaughlin IV hails from Boston, Mass. He began his career in construction painting for a total of 8 years before arriving at Vermont Frames, two of which he spent running his own business. He enjoys working with his peers and loves viewing the final product. When he’s not on the road installing with the team, he spends his time hiking, swimming, or otherwise outdoors.

Andrew Kidder
Timber Framer
Andrew Kidder worked in the stick framing industry before working at Vermont Frames. His favorite part of being here is the contrast between the two. The scale, the beauty, and the specialty that a timber frame brings to a project make him love it. He also appreciates the comradery between himself and his peers. He spends time golfing, skiing, mountain biking, or with his children when not working.
